Research Assignment

I would be interested to look into the possibility of doing ballet. Preferably the Russian ballet Sleeping Beauty that was choreographed by Marius Petipa, and the score was composed by Pyotr Tchaikovsky (Russians). The ballet was based off of Charles Perrault’s La Belle au bois Dormant (French). This would combine both French storytelling and Russian dance and would be a way of studying how other cultures interpret one another.

Since it is a ballet there would not be a script, however i could find an English translation of the story and use that as a script.
